Pediobius saulius (parasitoid) (Walker, 1839)
This wasp is found in Europe and Asia. It has been mainly recorded as a larval and pupal endoparasitoid of leafmining Lepidoptera, like those from the family Gracillariidae. In south-eastern Europe, it is an important pupal parasitoid of the invasive horse-chestnut leafminer (Cameraria ohridella). In other regions, the wasp has many other hosts as well.
For a study on the biology and genetic structure of P. saulius see Hernández-López et al. (2012).
