Typhlodromalus aripo (predator) (De Leon, 1967)

This species of predatory mite is native in South - and Central America. Starting in 1995 it has been successfully introduced into different parts of Africa against the cassava green mite Mononychellus tanajoa. It will also feed on small insects like whiteflies and can survive on pollen.
