Thyrinteina arnobia Stoll, 1782 - (eucalyptus brown looper)
This geometrid moth is found in Central and South America from the southern U.S. to Argentina. It is an important defoliator of eucalypt trees in parts of Brazil and can cause outbreaks, resulting in serious damage to the trees. It has been also reported to feed on other plants. The caterpillars are brownish black and the adult moth is whitish with dark brown marks.
