Leptoglossus occidentalis Heidemann 1910 - (western conifer seed bug)
feeds on the cones of Pinaceae, causing cone abortion and reducing seed set. It can also invade homes to overwinter. It is found in North America and has been accidentally introduced into Europe (first record from Italy in 1999).
