Zetzellia Oudemans, 1927
This genus includes several species of predatory mites of agricultural importance. For example, Zetzellia mali is widely distributed and preys mainly on spider mites, like those infesting fruit trees.
The genus Zetzellia is closely related to the genus Agistemus and both have been sometimes regarded as being synonyms. However, they can be separated by the arrangements of the dorsal plates and their setae, with the central plate of Agistemus being larger and bearing 5 pairs of setae (total 10).
