Charles VINCENT completed a B.Sc. in Agriculture at Université Laval (Quebec City, Canada), a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. (1983) in Entomology at McGill University (Montreal, Canada). From 1983 to August 2021, he worked as an entomologist for the Horticultural Research and Development Center (Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada) at Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada. In 1984, he has been appointed adjunct professor at the Macdonald Campus of McGill University. He has been appointed as adjunct at Université du Québec à Montréal in 1992, and, since 2000, is invited professor at l’Université de Picardie Jules Verne (Amiens, France). He co-supervised the work of 36 graduate students and 100 interns. His research focus on alternative to insecticides, notably knowledge-based methods, including biopesticides, biological and physical control methods. To date he published 182 scientific and 200 technical papers. He edited 25 books or technical bulletins. He did >500 presentations before various national and international audiences.
