Tortrix viridana Linnaeus, 1758 - (green oak leafroller)

The caterpillars are leafrollers on oak and same other trees in Europe and neighbouring regions. On oak it can cause defoliations during outbreak conditions. Eggs are deposited in spring and hatch at the time of bud break with the young larvae starting to feed on the young leaves.
