Template:CheckPestBenfRec

The template displays the following warning message if the publication does not contain any pest - or beneficial records.

Usage:
When (during checking new pages on publications entered by users) it is noted that no pest or beneficial records have been entered for a publication this message can be displayed by adding the line

{{Publication
....
|Data problem=pest
....
}}

as part of the data for the "Publication" template and returns via {{DataProblem}} this template:

Warning: The publication does not contain any pest - or beneficial record! This is needed for linking the article to pages covering pests, crops and countries. Kindly re-edit and complete this (or these) records for important pest and/or beneficial species covered by this article.

Template:CheckPestBenfRec checks if a pest - or beneficial record has been entered and displays this message if no such record is found. It should be noted that:

• The recognition that a pest - or beneficial record has been added is only possible AFTER the publication page has been saved.
• This means after inserting a pest record the page needs to be saved twice, before the warning disappears.
• Alternatively, the message can be removed by deleting the "Data problem" entry.
• Some publications do not deal with specific pests, diseases or weeds. Therefore such a message is not appropriate in all cases.

The template is called by the Template:DataProblem.
