Stathmopoda masinissa Meyrick, 1906 - (persimmon fruit moth)

This small moth is found in eastern Asia. The larvae develop inside persimmon fruits, causing the fruits to rot and drop to the ground. The moth is considered a quarantine pest in many persimmon growing countries.
