This arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus is produced commercially. It can suppress plant pathogenic fungi and nematodes. Further it increases the defence of host plants against other organisms like parasitic plants (e.g. see Fernández-Aparicio et al. 2010) and plant viruses (e.g. see Shaul et al., 1999).
