Genetic relationships inside of Aphis frangulae/gossypii group based on mitochondrial DNA sequences
REDIA 92, 65-68
Abstract: A molecular investigation inferred from the partial sequencing of mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase COI and COII was carried out on a number of postulated species belonging to the cryptic group Aphis frangulae/gossypii. The results, while preliminary, show the monophyly of the group itself and the genetic separation between A. frangulae Kaltenbach and A. gossypii Glover around both of which are clustered a number of other genetically allied postulated taxa.
