Pseudacanthotermes militaris (Hagen, 1858)
This termite is found in Sub-Saharan Africa, especially in eastern parts. It is regarded as a crop pest, for example on sugarcane, and can also infest wooden structures. P. militaris is a fungus-growing species which constructs conical mounds, up to 1 m high. Workers are around 4 mm long and soldiers around 6 mm.
