Plectris aliena Chapin, 1934
This cockchafer is native to South America and has been accidentally introduced into south-eastern North America in the early 1900s. It has also spread to Australia. The white grubs feed on the roots of grasses and might reach pest status in sweet potatoes. The adult is pale, light brown and measures 12-14 mm in length.
