First report of Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus causing bacterial ring rot of potato in Turkey
Plant Pathology 58 (4), 794-794
Abstract: During 2007, potato tubers grown in Turkey were observed with symptoms of bacterial ring rot, and externally with sunken and cracked areas. The bacterium Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus was isolated from the diseased plants. The identification was based on the nutritional profile and PCR analysis of the isolates. Pathogenicity of the isolates was demonstrated by inoculation and re-isolation.
