Sphenospora kevorkianii on the orchids Epidendrum paniculatum and Stanhopea graveolens newly reported in Argentina
Plant Pathology 58 (2), 401-401
Abstract: During 2007, wild orchids of the species Epidendrum paniculatum and Stanhopea graveolens growing in Argentina were observed with rust symptoms, including chlorotic areas on the upper leaf surface and erumpent pustules with powdery masses of yellow urediniospores on the underside. The fungus Sphenospora kevorkianii was isolated from the diseased plants. The identification was based on morphological characteristics.
