Geranium rust disease caused by Puccinia pelargonii-zonalis: first report in Turkey
Plant Pathology 57 (4), 786-786
Abstract: During 2007, geranium plants grown in Turkey were observed with rust symptoms starting with small, pale yellow spots on the undersides of leaves which enlarged and turned rusty-brown. The fungus Puccinia pelargonii-zonalis was isolated from the diseased plants. The identification was based on morphological characteristics. Pathogenicity of the isolates was demonstrated by inoculation.
