First report of Pythium deliense as a pathogen of melon in Honduras and Guatemala
Plant Pathology 57 (4), 776-776
Abstract: During 2004 and 2005, vine decline was examined on melon (Cucumis melo) plants grown in Honduras and Guatemala. The fungus Pythium deliense was isolated from the diseased plants. The identification was based on morphological characteristics and ITS sequence analysis. Pathogenicity of the isolates was demonstrated by inoculation and re-isolation.
