First report of nut rot caused by Neofusicoccum parvum on hazelnut (Corylus avellana) in Italy
Plant Disease 106 (7), 1987-1987
Abstract: During 2020, hazelnut trees (Corylus avellana) grown in Italy were observed with symptoms of a black nut rot. The fungus Neofusicoccum parvum was isolated from the diseased nuts. The identification was based on morphological characteristics and DNA sequence analysis. Pathogenicity of the isolates was demonstrated by inoculation.
