Strawberry, a new natural host of Brassica yellows virus in China

Abstract: During 2020, strawberry plants (Fragaria ananassa) grown in greenhouses in the cities of Yantai and Beijing, China were observed with symptoms of chlorotic spots. The presence of Brassica yellows virus was demonstrated in 11 out of 81 symptomatic samples, using high-throughput sequencing and PCR analysis.
