Plant Disease 105 (8 - 0060)
Abstract: During 2020, maize seedlings (Zea mays) grown in Hebei Province, China were observed with symptoms of wilted leaves and dark brown necrotic spots on roots. The fungus Bipolaris zeicola was isolated from the diseased plants. The identification was based on morphological characteristics and DNA sequence analysis. Pathogenicity of the isolates was demonstrated by inoculation and re-isolation.
