First report of 16SrII-V phytoplasma associated with green manure soybean (Glycine max) in Taiwan
Plant Disease 105 (7 - 2714)
Abstract: During 2020, green manure soybean plants (Glycine max) grown in Taiwan were observed with severe symptoms of little leaf, yellowing, phyllody, virescence, and witches' broom. DNA was extracted from symptomatic plants and analyzed by PCR using phytoplasma specific primers. The presence of a phytoplasma was demonstrated in the symptomatic plants and the PCR product was cloned and sequenced. Sequence analysis showed the presence of a phytoplasma belonging to the 16SrII-V subgroup.
