Spanish melon necrotic spot virus isolate overcomes the resistance conferred by the recessive nsv gene of melon
Plant Disease 86 (6), 694-694
Abstract: Melon plants grown in Spain and with an nsv/nsv genotype, which provides resistance to Melon necrotic spot virus (MNSV), were observed with typical symptoms of MNSV infections. The presence of this virus was demonstrated in the symptomatic plants using specific antisera, PCR analysis and nucleotide sequencing.
