Pealius mori (Takahashi, 1932) - (mulberry whitefly)
This whitefly has been reported as an important pest of mulberry plants (Morus alba) in Asia. However, it can also infest other plants and has been, for example, recorded from Euphorbia in Egypt (Abd-Rabou & Evans, 2013). Mulberry leaves infested by the whitefly are poor quality food for silkworms and these fail to develop further (Abd-Rabou et al., 2019).
