Pardosa C.L. Koch 1847 - (pond wolf spiders or thinlegged wolf spiders)

This is a common and large genus of wolf spiders with more than 500 species. A number of species are important predators of pests like Pardosa pseudoannulata in Asia or Pardosa milvina in North America.

The species of Pardosa have long legs with spines on the tarsi, the first row of 4 eyes is shorter than the next row of 2 eyes (measured up to the edges of the eyes). The carapace is elongated and usually has a pale median stripe.
