Parasitaphelenchidae
The nematodes of this family are characterized by short stylets with the conus and shaft of similar length. The females have functional anus and rectum. Males and females are the only adult forms.
Economically the most important members are nematodes related to the pine wilt nematode, the genus Bursaphelenchus.
