Paraleyrodes minei Iaccarino, 1990
This nesting whitefly is native to subtropical and tropical parts of the Americas. It is regarded as invasive in the Mediterranean region, as well as in parts of Africa and western Asia. P. minei is polyphagous, feeding for example on various types of fruit trees like citrus or avocado. The adults are about 1-1½ mm long and light brownish to yellowish. The whitish forewings have irregular greyish areas or cross bands.
