Orchestes Illiger 1798
This genus of flea weevils is mainly found in Europe and Asia. The larvae are leaf miners on different types of trees. The adults are small, usually 2-4 mm long. The beech flea weevil Orchestes fagi is native to Europe and can occasionally cause outbreaks there. It has been recorded from parts of eastern Canada since 2011 and has caused defoliation of beech trees in some areas.
