Abstract: The adult male and female of Culex (Melanoconion) gnomatos n. sp. are described and compared with Cx. vomerifer Komp, Cx. portesi Senevet and Abonnenc and Cx. sacchettae Sirivanakarn and Jakob. Available data about distribution and bionomics are presented.
