Lysobacter enzymogenes (antagonist) Christensen & Cook 1978

This bacterium is an important antagonist of plant diseases and suppresses a variety of disease agents like bacteria, fungi, oomycetes, and nematodes. It can colonise the rhizosphere and phyllosphere of plants and can also be an endophyte. It produces antibiotics and lytic enzymes including proteases, glucanases, chitinases, lipases, and phospholipases.
