Lymantria xylina Swinhoe - (casuarina moth)

The moth is found in in eastern Asia and has a wide host range among trees and shrubs. It is an important pest of hardwood and fruit trees. For example outbreaks have been reported from casuarina plantations and in longan or lychee orchards. There is typically one generation per years.
