Journal of Plant Pathology 88 (3), 342-342
Abstract: During 2004, onion (Allium cepa) bulbs from Zhejiang Province, China were observed with symptoms of rotting. The bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa was isolated from the diseased plants. The identification was based on the nutritional profile and other characteristics of the isolates. Pathogenicity of the isolates was demonstrated by inoculation and re-isolation.
