Grasshopper damage on short-grass rangeland of the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation, Arizona
Journal of Economic Entomology 53 (4), 640-646
Abstract: A three-year study of grasshopper damage to a grassland in Arizona showed that total damage by Melanoplus bilituratus, M. cuneatus, Camnula pellucida and Aulocara elliotti was greatest in July and ranged from 8 % to 63%. Unit-area damage per grasshopper was greater to annual grasses and forbs than to perennial grasses.
