Abstract: Field trials were conducted in the western Cape Province, South Africa, to develop a sex pheromone dispenser suitable for monitoring the flight activity of false codling moth. A controlled-release dispenser capable of releasing sex pheromone at a predetermined and constant release rate without replacement for more than seven months was produced.
