Abstract: The tetranychid mite, Tetranychus (Armenychus) graminae Flechtmann, 1971 is reported from a new host plant, elephant grass, Pennisetum purpureum Schum. (Poaceae). In addition, the geographical range of T. graminae, previously restricted to Paraguay, is extended in the Neotropical region to include Brazil.
