Ilyonectria liriodendri (Halleen, Rego & Crous 2006) Chaverri & C. Salgado 2011
This fungus is widely distributed around the world. It causes mainly root rot or black foot disease on grapevine. However, it also infects trees and other crops. The type culture was obtained from rotten roots of tulip poplar trees, Liriodendron tulipifera, (Francois Halleen et al., 2006).
