Spoladea recurvalis (Fabricius, 1775) - (Hawaiian beet webworm, amaranth leaf-webber)
The moth is a polyphagous and migrating pest in tropical and subtropical regions. Crops attacked include amaranth with yield losses sometimes exceeding 50%, as well as vegetables. The larvae are light green and live in rolled leaves, protected by webbing. The adults are dark grey-brown with a white cross-band on the forewings and white marks. The wingspan span is 20 to 25 mm.
