Heterorhabditis amazonensis (entomopathogen) Andaló et al., 2006
Although this nematode was first described from forest soil in the Brazilian State of Amazonas, it has been subsequently also found in other parts of South America, including in agricultural areas. It is pathogenic for a wide range of arthropods. Taxonomically, it is closely related to Heterorhabditis baujardi.
