Dichelops Spinola, 1837

This genus of stink bugs is found in South and Central America. The two species listed below are called green-belly stink bugs. They have become important agricultural pests since the 1990s, attacking crops like soybean, maize, and wheat. It is believed that the adaption of no-tillage cultivation systems by growers has increased the pest status of these species.

The two green-belly stink bugs belong to the subgenus Diceraeus. This subgenus is regarded as a separate genus by some authors.

For a brief review see Panizzi (2015).
