Abstract: In November 1991, the EPPO Reporting Service stated that Ips grandicollis (EPPO A 1 pest) had been found to infest Pinus caribaea var. caribaea in the Camagüey province of Cuba. Previous surveys resulted in the capture of several Ips species in light traps near the international airport. An area of 1 510 ha of pine forest is currently affected by the pest.
