Meliola citricola on Citrus suhuiensis in Southeast Asia
FAO Plant Protection Bulletin 40 (3), 112-115
Abstract: Variably heavy Meliola citricola infections were seen in two surveys made in August 1990 and March 1991 in Java, Sumatra and Kalimantan in Indonesia and in the Mekong Delta in Viet Nam; in each case growth was equally heavy on fruit and leaves. Meliola citricola is common in Southeast Asia but little known. It causes black spots on citrus leaves and fruits and is often confused with sooty mould. However, it is a true plant pathogen and does not depend on honeydew.
