India - Interception of Heterodera zeae on vetiver plants imported from the United Republic of Tanzania and variations observed
FAO Plant Protection Bulletin 39 (1), 44-44
Abstract: During a quarantine examination of vetiver plants imported from the United Republic of Tanzania several cysts and second-stage juveniles were observed in the plant roots and accompanying soil. The species was identified as the maize cyst nematode, Heterodera zeae. The plant had been collected in the field in Tanzania. As far as the authors are aware, the finding of H. zeae in the United Republic of Tanzania is a new distribution record for this species.
