Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata (Fabricius, 1775) - (Twenty-eight spotted potato ladybird beetle)
This beetle is a serious pest of solanaceous crops (e.g. potato, eggplant, tomato) in Asia and the Pacific. More than half of the leaves may be seriously damaged during an outbreak. The damage is cause by the larvae scraping the lower surface of the leaves while the adults feed on the upper surface. The adult is light brown with 13 spots on each elytrum and 2 spots on the pronotum.
