Sex attractant for the filbertworm, Melissopus latiferranus (Walsingham)
Environmental Entomology 10 (3), 390-391
Abstract: In field tests, (E,E)-8,10-dodecadien-1-ol acetate was very attractive to male moths of the filbertworm, Melissopus latiferranus (Walsingham), a serious pest of filbertnuts in Oregon and Washington. In additional tests, candidate synergists with the attractant failed to increase trap capture, whereas (E,E)-8,10-dodecadien-1-ol strongly reduced trap capture.
