Abstract: Segestidea montana n. sp. is described and illustrated from the Eastern Highlands District of New Guinea; an earlier key to the species of the genus is revised to accommodate this new species. The new combinations Segestidea defoliaria defoliaria (Uvarov, 1924) and Segestidea defoliaria gracilis (C. Willemse, 1957) are proposed on account of the synonymy of Segestidea gracilis simulatrix F. Willemse, 1977 and Habetia defoliaria Uvarov, 1924. New locality data from New Guinea are given for Sexava nubila and Segestidea novae-guineae.
