Urocerus albicornis (Fabricius, 1781) (Hymenoptera: Siricidae), a new exotic horntail for the Iberian Peninsula
EPPO Bulletin 42 (1), 150-153
Abstract: First records of Urocerus albicornis (Fabricius, 1781) (Hymenoptera: Siricidae) for the Iberian Peninsula are reported. Samples of males and females were obtained unintentionally during surveys of Ips sexdentatus (Boerner, 1767) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Scolytinae) using multiple funnel traps baited with an I. sexdentatus-specific attractant in different sawmills and timber processing industries of Basque Country (Northern Spain) during 2003 and 2011.
