Dione juno Cramer, 1779 - (juno longwing)

This butterfly is found in Central and South America, where it breeds on vines of the genus Passiflora. In some areas it is regarded as a serious pest of passionfruit plantings. Eggs are laid in groups and the young and medium-sized caterpillars feed gregariously on the leaves, often causing defoliation and substantial crop damage.
