Conopomorpha sinensis Bradley, 1986 - (litchi stem borer)

The moth is an important pest of litchi and longan in southern Asia. The adults lay eggs on the fruits and the larvae bore into the fruits causing fruit drop or infection of the fruits by microorganisms. More than half of the fruits on a tree may be attacked. Shoots and stems can be also infested and damaged.
