Chrysopogon (crop)
This genus of grasses is found in tropical and subtropical regions. Chrysopogon zizanioides (vetiver) is grown as an industrial crop for its oil which is extracted from the roots. However, this and other species of the genus have also other uses like food flavouring or as forage grasses.
