Abstract: Lamiid cerambycid beetle Paraleprodera itzingeri is a widely distributed endemic species of Taiwan. On June 1987, severe damage of Sassafras randaiense by P. itzingeri larvae was first observed at Chiayang, Central Taiwan. S. randaieuse is also known to be the host plant of swallowtail, Agehana maraho.
