Chilecomadia valdiviana Philippi, 1860
This moth is a large, polyphagous wood borer, native to south-eastern parts of South America, where it attacks eucalypt, other forest trees and fruit trees. The wingspan of the adults is around 5-6 cm. The damage weakens the trees and can result in tree death.
